MESSAGE FROM OUR SENIOR PASTORS
We have declared this year to be one of ‘Great Expectations’.
“My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.” (Psalms 62:5 NKJV)
It’s amazing what happens when our expectations, and our actions, align with God‘s word and God’s will.
As we focus on our mission challenges this year, one thing is clear - the Father’s heart for humanity.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” ( John 3:16 NIV)
To use a quote from one of our missions’ partners, Marlo Philip from Tejas Asia, ‘God loves everybody, everywhere, all the time.’ Our job is to represent Him in the world He loves.
It’s been thrilling to watch the Hope Centre family show increased engagement with the Great Commission, taking seriously the responsibility to be on mission - and making a difference in our world and the world.
Finally, thank you for playing your part in the Great Commission. It really is making a difference.
The church is meant to be a house for prayer for all nations. Our partners need your constant prayer support. One of the benefits of this website is that you can get to know them and their challenges.
PRAY
GIVE
There’s been a significant increase in mission investment in the past 12 months across our church family. One of our great expectations is to see that trend continue.
GO
We have seen a growing number of missions trips offered each year, along with the growing number of people that have been on these trips to our partners around our nation, and around the world. Maybe it’s time you signed up for one?

CHURCH PLANTING IN MONTREAL
STATISTICS REVEAL THAT LESS THAN 0.7% OF MONTRÉAL’S POPULATION IS ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN AN EVANGELICAL OR PENTECOSTAL CHURCH.
In 2026, Hope Centre will be sending the Neale family to plant a church in Montreal, Canada.
For the past 20 years, God has been preparing Ps. Luke, Helene & their family for this new faith adventure.
After many months of prayer & discussion, the leadership of Hope Centre has felt the “yes” of heaven & are excited to partner with the Neale family in this new Church Planting venture.
Statistics reveal that less than 0.7% of Montréal’s population is actively engaged in an evangelical or Pentecostal church.
Focusing on the inner-city suburbs that are multicultural and have a high university population; the goal is to reach students, young adults, young families & immigrants and introduce them to Jesus in an authentic and culturally relevant way.
Some of the ways this will happen is by using tools like Alpha to commence a variety of ministry outreaches into universities & local communities. Also, by opening a cafe or restaurant business that is welcoming & a safe space for the community to come together.
Over the past 9 decades, Hope Centre has raised finances, planted churches, raised & sent leaders. There is now an opportunity to expand that impact even wider & let the DNA of this house, a heart for the lost & broken, start to make a difference in Montreal – a city of 4.6 million people who don’t yet know Jesus. We can make this happen together!

In the 12 months they have been there, they have seen steady growth both in their Sunday services and in the impact of the church within the community.
Darwin Life Church — Darwin
At the beginning of 2024, Ps. Ben Dacey went to Darwin to plant Darwin Life Church, partnering with both Hope Centre & Desert Life Church to put a stake in the ground. Over the past 2 years, the church has begun to emerge and continue to gain momentum in reaching the city for Jesus. In the past few weeks, Ps. Ben has handed the leadership of the church to Ps. Jake & Chloe Blabey who are very excited about what God is going to do in Darwin.

PHNOM
PENH,
CAMBODIA
(THE TOGETHER CO)
"We were so excited when Hope Centre began to partner with us in July 2025 and are absolutely convinced that this partnership will only strengthen in the seasons ahead. Discussions are underway for a team to come over in the next 12 months. Watch this space!"
Overview
Andrew and Maija have been in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for 10 years. They have pioneered a bilingual church (English & Khmer), called "The Together Co", creating a welcoming space where diverse backgrounds come together to belong, ask questions, and explore Jesus. They have spent a decade learning, building and growing, and now are ready for the next stage.
Phnom Penh is full of globally connected young adults (students and young professionals) who are shaping the future of Cambodia. Ambitious, curious, and globally aware, they're searching for purpose, belonging, and meaning.
Yet very few are connecting with church. Only a small fraction have encountered Jesus, and traditional church models rarely reach this urban generation. Without intentional intervention, a generation of influential leaders remains spiritually disconnected.
There is a crucial window of opportunity right now. Together, we can reach this group and see lives, communities, and the nation transformed for decades to come.
What to Pray For
Our family — health, safety and favour.
The church, especially for young people to discover Jesus, grow in their faith, and make a difference in the country.
Young leaders to step up.
Because You Gave
Strengthened our family's ability to minister effectively.
Supported the ongoing establishment of the church.
Great Expectations for 2026
Run an Alpha course as an outreach event.
Upgrade some equipment for church and support the move to a new location.
Look forward to a visit from Hope Centre!
MALANG,
INDONESIA
"We had an excellent time with the Hope Centre team! They did a great job and launched into everything we gave them. We packed a lot into the time together and it was a blessing having them here."
Overview
Leighton and Grace Gallagher are based in Malang, East Java at the doorstep of Indonesia's largest unreached people group, where they are working in partnership with the Indonesian Assemblies of God movement to support local church planters.
In 2024 they planted 'Waypoint Community Church,' an international church, with the vision of becoming a church planting hub. The church plant is opening up new doors to nurture and disciple leaders and serve local communities.
Leighton and Grace first met in Indonesia at age 17 — Grace as an Indonesian citizen and Leighton as a 'missionary kid.' They are passionate about cross-cultural ministry, and desire to see Indonesia's young generations encounter Jesus and be awakened to the church's missionary call.
Leighton and Grace have three young children, Abigail, Josiah, and Isaac, and love being able to serve together as a family.
What to Pray For
Strength, health, and times of refreshing for our family.
A miracle to purchase land for a car park so Waypoint continues to meet government requirements.
University Campus Outreach: Open hearts as students have conversations about Jesus.
Continued favour and support for our community outreach work from key local leaders.
Because You Gave
We could complete vital building upgrades (AC installation, roof repairs post-monsoon).
We have a safe gathering space for local outreach.
Our family is empowered for long-term ministry.
Great Expectations for 2026
Equip two partners in East Java among unreached people groups.
Purchase adjacent car park for Waypoint so we can remain in community.
Establish presence in neighbouring Kampung for family education with Christlike values.
Launch second Indonesian Sunday service and leadership training.
Create a church-planting grant program for Australian churches to partner with local planters.
PHNOM
PENH,
CAMBODIA
(MOTHER’S HEART)
"The Hope Centre team gave us crucial training that helped our staff grow in knowledge and confidence. You gave us kind and practical support to make our offices feel safer and more comfortable plus helped us create a dedicated kids play area in Battambang! But most importantly, your visit brought so much friendship and camaraderie — sharing meals and working together really boosted our morale. Your care is a tangible expression of God's love, showing the families we serve that they are not alone or forgotten."
Overview
Mother's Heart Organisation Cambodia began in December 2010. What started out with four staff members, a donated office space, and a governance board, has grown into an organisation that has seen over 2,500 women and babies impacted by the love, care and support they receive from a team of social workers, midwives and childcare workers.
One of the founders, Katrina, researched unplanned pregnancy and found a significant gap in services, with abortion being the primary form of contraception with 89% of procedures being performed outside of proper health facilities. It is the first and only crisis pregnancy service in Cambodia.
Women are referred to them from a multitude of vulnerable backgrounds. Single women and their families are proactively supported through crisis pregnancies — ensuring that every child of a single mother, in their pregnancy support program, is either raised by his/her mother, extended family or is placed in permanent foster care.
What to Pray For
Health, safety, and emotional healing for mothers, babies, and children.
Sustainable, long-term funding to keep doors open and expand our reach.
Safety, health, wisdom, and compassion for our teams in Phnom Penh and Battambang.
Peace and stability, especially in border areas affected by recent conflicts.
Because You Gave
153 women and 147 children were supported in program and 27 healthy babies were born in 2025!
107 of the children remain supported with their mothers; 37 with family and 4 into foster care.
3 women were supported back into school (one in university), six into vocational training, 14 launched businesses.
Facilities were upgraded resulting in safer offices with new furniture plus a dedicated play area in Battambang.
Great Expectations for 2026
Sustain the Crisis Pregnancy Counselling and Support Program which includes counselling, safe shelter, antenatal/postnatal care, child health, family reunification.
Expand the Women's Economic Empowerment: More vocational scholarships and job opportunities.
Initiate Crisis Pregnancy Awareness and Prevention: Education to reduce teenage and crisis pregnancies.
Support staff well-being by offering benefits and care initiatives, including a year-end retreat.
UGanDA
"We had a fantastic time with the team from Hope Centre, and I just wanted to take a moment to say a big thank you for your ongoing support, partnership, and friendship. Because of your heart for missions, so many great things are happening here in Uganda. Lives are being changed, kids are thriving, and families are finding hope in Jesus."
Overview
Operation Uganda has just celebrated 20 years of work in the nation of Uganda, one of the poorest nations in the world. Founders Russ and Jen (together with their family) first went to Uganda in 2005.
Operation Uganda's vision is to rescue, transform and empower. They have focused primarily on the poorest and most destitute children, establishing a scholarship program for either the orphaned or most vulnerable. Empowerment projects have also been established for either widowed or solo mothers in destitute situations. Church planting is also a key focus for Russ and Jen, as they work alongside and support Pastors and Leaders.
What to Pray For

Run Alpha courses for adults and youth plus Youth Alive programs.
Increase impact on vulnerable households — meeting needs and sharing Jesus.
Continued opportunities to improve school facilities in the remote Uganda project (classrooms, dormitories) and see students and staff encounter Jesus.
CENTRAL ASIA
"We cannot thank Hope Centre enough for your continued prayer, encouragement and financial support over the past 35 years that we have been serving in Central Asia. No other church has stood alongside us for that length of time. Thank you! We are so grateful."
Overview
Doug and Anna first went to Kazakhstan in 1991 after spending some time in China. Over the past 35 years, they have established a number of Teen Challenge Centres and the AOG Kazakhstan, which celebrates its 30 year anniversary in July 2026. Through these two ministries, up to 80 churches have been planted throughout Central Asia.
In 2010, they moved to Georgia and since then they have planted a church and built a Teen Challenge Centre in Tbilisi. They have sent graduates from the Tbilisi Church and Rehab into Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran and Turkey and they are presently building a Leadership Training Centre in Batumi on the Turkish border to multiply that effect by sending more missionaries to the adjacent countries. In 2014 they planted Teen Challenge in Armenia.
What to Pray For
Health and strength for Doug and Anna and their vision to start Teen Challenge Centres and indigenous churches across all the "Stans".
Raising up of pastors and next generation indigenous leaders.
The establishment of 2 new training centres and financial miracles to complete these.
Protection for pastors and leaders across Central Asia.
Because You Gave
We have been able to continue to work in partnership with key leaders across both Kazakhstan and Georgia.
Above the financial support, we are so grateful for your valuable prayer support.
Great Expectations for 2026
Over the next 3 years:
5 new Teen Challenge facilities.
2 new Training schools.
Double the number of Churches, pastors and missionaries.
PRAY. GIVE. GO.
PRAY. GIVE. GO.
Pray.
We believe that prayer changes things!
When we partner together with our
mission partners in prayer, we uphold
them before heaven to see every need met
and the Kingdom come to earth around
the globe. Why not take a moment to
have a look at some of the prayer points
our partners have given, and commit - as
a family, or as a life group - to praying
weekly for these needs?
